Weekends & Public Holidays
We are open almost every day of the year with the main closure being Christmas day! Please note, a weekend surcharge of 10% applies on Saturdays and Sundays, and 15% on public holidays. All credit cards incur a 1.5% surcharge.
Parking
The Jonson Lane precinct has secure underground parking which is free for the first 2 hours.
Cake & decorations
We love a celebration! Cakes are welcome, we do not charge a cake cutting fee. For private dining or semi-private dining experiences you’re welcome to organise florals for the table.
We recommend The Flower Bar.
No confetti or glitter is permitted in the venue.
Events & Functions
For special occasions and milestone celebrations, we have both a private dining room and semi-private space available. View the group dining page for more info.
Set menus
For tables of 8 or more guests you will be required to dine from one of our banquet menus.
For tables of 20 or more guests you will be required to dine on the ‘Premium Selection’ banquet menu only.
Children under 12 are exempt from the banquet and welcome to dine from the kid’s menu. However, they are still included in the total number of guests. For example, a table of 8, including 2 children, the adults will still be required to select from the banquet menus.
Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
Can I bring my dog?
We love it when you do! Dogs are welcome in our outside seating area. We simply ask that they remain on the leash.
Dietary requirements
We are able to cater for most dietary requirements. Please make sure you leave a note when making your booking or give us a call prior to your visit.
Note, while we take the upmost care to cater for your individual needs, and have protocols in place to limit cross contamination, we cannot guarantee zero risk of exposure to allergens.
Walk-ins
While we recommend reserving your table in advance, we always leave a handful of seats aside for walk-ins.
Accessibility
Light Years Byron Bay is both wheelchair and disability friendly. There are wheelchair accessible bathrooms located in the Jonson Lane Precinct. Feel free to give us a call for further information or on arrival request assistance from our hosts. We also recommend making a note of any specific needs at the time of your booking so we can prepare your table in advance.
